What you'll do

  • Complete MDS and Medicare Audits for Polaris clients in accordance with current Federal and state regulations for PDPM and CMI.
  • Assist with Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy documentation audits.
  • Assist Polaris clients with responding to medical review requests.
  • Identify the needs of Polaris clients and make recommendations for additional services.
  • Provide education and training to Polaris clients based on audit results and industry updates.
  • Work with a Senior Healthcare Consultant on monitoring & auditing clinical records, ensuring accuracy & timeliness.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of resident and facility information.
  • Remain current on issues and regulations that affect the industry and long-term care field.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Primarily work from home.  Limited travel may be required.

What we're looking for

  • Active Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy license preferred.
  • Candidates must have 3-5 years of relevant experience in a Long-Term Care facility.
  • Solid knowledge of PDPM, CMI & MDS coding.  
  • Demonstrates clinical skills at the level necessary to meet the job requirements.
  • Knowledgeable and understanding of state and federal regulations and guidelines governing the practices of the facility.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge and comfort level with Video Conferencing.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work cooperatively with an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Detail-oriented individuals who are team players.
  • Adaptable to change and willingness to learn different processes.
