This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to our Director of Consulting.

What you'll do

Regulatory Research

  • Conduct Regulatory Research to keep Nurse Consultants and the Outsourced MDS Coordinator Team up to date with any industry changes.
  • Assist with product development and educational resources as needed.
  • Routinely audit samples of consultant site visit reports for regulatory accuracy
  • Submit all internal reports/calendars per company guidelines.
  • Research and respond to Solution Center inquiries, provide excellent client customer service.
  • Attend meetings and conferences as requested.
  • Participate in or lead projects to meet the needs of the business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MDS Coordinator

  • In between research assignments, you may be asked to step in and serve as an Outsourced, Remote MDS Coordinator, overseeing and coordinating the development and completion of the member assessment (MDS) in accordance with current Federal and State regulations.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive member assessment and care plan for each member.
  • Maintain and update all care plans and assessments as required.
  • Monitor and audit clinical records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Report issues related to non-compliant documentation.
  • Always protect the confidentiality of residents and facility information
  • Ensure the face validity of all Minimum Data Sets before electronic submission.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

  • Active RN License, AAPACN Certification
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Director of Nursing and/or MDS Coordinator, or comparable experience is required.
  • Experience as an educator preferred.
  • Must be comfortable presenting via teleconferencing.
  • Communicate Effectively – Ability to write and present effectively; adjusts to fit the audience and the message; strongly gets a message across.
  • Detailed Oriented – Ability to be well organized and resourceful, can reduce a complex concept or task into something that is manageable and clearly interpreted. Can get things done with less and in less time; can work on multiple tasks at once without losing track; foresees and plans around obstacles.
  • Computer skills – Possesses intermediate to advanced Microsoft Suite Knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical Skills – Ability to analyze and synthesize information to understand issues and identify options.
  • Managing Diverse Relationships – Ability to relate well to a wide variety of diverse styles of people, types, and classes; open to differences; effective up, down, sideways, inside, and outside; builds diverse networks; quick to find common ground; treats differences fairly and equitably; treats everyone as a preferred customer.
  • Project Management – Ability to bring projects to completion eliciting the collaborations of interdepartmental team members.
  • Financial Acumen – Ability to understand the meaning and implications of key financial indicators; Manage overall financial performance; Use financial analysis to create and evaluate strategic options and opportunities.
  • Active Listening – Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds at times.
  • Travel as needed for conferences or related work.
