Jack Fitzgibbons
Chief Executive Officer

Jack Fitzgibbons is the Chief Executive Officer of Assembly Health. Jack is focused on delivering top notch customer service to Assembly’s provider customers, and works closely with Assembly’s business units and executives to foster growth. Prior to his role as CEO, Jack served as Assembly’s President and COO, and had previous roles working at technology-enabled services businesses and in management consulting.

Outside the office, Jack serves on the Board of the Pickles Group, a non profit that provides free peer support and resources for kids affected by their parent or guardian’s cancer. Jack is also a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Jack enjoys spending time with his wife and four young daughters and cheering on the Duke Blue Devils basketball team.

Michael Oswalt
Chief Technology Officer

Michael Oswalt is the Chief Technology Officer of Assembly Health and brings 20+ years of experience in healthcare technology to the role. Prior to joining Assembly, Michael was CIO for Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, one of the largest dermatology groups in the U.S. He has a background in software and database engineering and provides a keen focus on data visibility and integrations. Outside of the office, Michael is an avid tennis fan, enjoys traveling, and has made drinkable beer at least once.

Anthony Wai is the Chief Financial Officer of Assembly Health. Anthony leads the accounting and finance functions of Assembly. He brings 20 years of experience to the role, most recently as the CFO of two other healthcare organizations. Anthony is a CPA and a CFA charter holder. Outside of work, Anthony enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, cheering on the Michigan Wolverines, and discovering new Netflix series to binge-watch.

Jeff has 20+ years of leadership experience and has a track record of delivering business results in high-growth companies. He enjoys building and growing teams, and implementing the operating infrastructure required to scale.

John Fitchwell is the Chief Growth Officer for Assembly Health and leads all sales, marketing, and growth efforts. He has 20 years of healthcare experience in sales, marketing, strategy, and corporate development. John comes to Assembly from Community Care Partners, an urgent and primary care provider where he led all growth through development of new clinics and acquisitions. John enjoys early morning gym sessions which help him keep up with his three children and continuing to perfect replicating his grandmother’s spaghetti and meatballs.

Tim Warner is the SVP, Channel Development for Assembly Health. He plays a strategic role in identifying, securing, and nurturing Assembly’s channel partnerships, as well as in channel partnership sales. Tim brings 25+ years of healthcare product and service sales experience to Assembly across the continuum of ambulatory, radiology, acute, and long-term care. Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, boating, and attending Wolfpack sporting events.

Meg Phillips

Meg Phillips is the Vice President and General Manager of Physician Revenue Cycle Management at Assembly Health and brings nearly two decades of extensive experience in the healthcare industry to the role. Before joining Assembly, Meg held several key positions in prominent healthcare organizations where she led significant improvements in revenue cycle processes, increased operational efficiencies, and drove substantial financial growth. Meg holds a master’s degree in health systems management from Rush University and is an active member of MGMA & HFMA. Outside of work, Meg enjoys running, cycling, and swimming or any activity that gets her outdoors and in the sunshine!

Jack Daffada is the VP of Operations for Assembly Health. He supports integration activities for new partner Revenue Cycle Management companies, including analyzing their operating processes and developing tailored integration plans. Prior to joining Assembly, Jack led Revenue Cycle performance improvement teams at various health systems nationwide. Outside of the office, Jack enjoys biking the Chicago lakefront, listening to his favorite bands, and visiting national parks across the U.S.

Elisabeth Daniel is the Vice President of People & Culture at Assembly Health leading all aspects of talent and culture for the company. An HR Business partner at heart, Elisabeth has over 15+ years’ experience overseeing all aspects of Human Resources: Performance Management, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Benefits and Compensation, and Employee Experience.  Her passion is around developing and retaining top talent through programs that will advance personal careers while helping organizations grow!

In her free time Elisabeth loves to travel and play games of all kinds (card games, board games, tabletop RPG).  When she and her husband are not hosting family and friends, they are spending time with their 4-legged child – Fitz!

Samantha Akhtarzandi is the President and Co-Founder of Doctors’ Choice Medical Services. After completing her Masters, Samantha started her career in Practice Management and eventually co-founded Doctors’ Choice Medical Services.  Samantha has spent the last 28 years becoming an expert in Revenue Cycle Management, providing tailored consulting services to DCMS clients, and delivering targeted business analyses to optimize financial performance. Samantha's clinician-like mindset and unique ability to construct efficient billing practices maximizes the ROI for medical practices and facilities.  Outside of work, Samantha loves spending time with her family, skiing, embracing her heritage by cooking delicious Persian food, and visiting her roots in merry old England!

Prior to founding Doctors’ Choice, Ruby founded and worked at various tech companies. His leadership experience spans Operations, Accounting, Analytics, Finance, and Information Technology. Outside of work, Ruby loves spending time with his family, following Pro-European soccer (Go Barca!), and keeping up with NASA and space travel developments. Ruby’s current hobby is building a ‘66 AC Cobra Replica roadster!

Connie Russell

Connie Russell is Partner and Co-founder of JD Matthews Medical Billing Specialists.  Connie co-founded JD Matthews with her business partner Lynn Miller in 1997 and today focuses on building relationships with JD Matthews clients, developing and implementing strategies for growth, and assisting practices in any way she can. With a healthcare career spanning back to 1986, Connie has a diverse background in health care management including back-office operations, billing, and technology. She began her career as an appointment scheduler for a multi-physician Orthopedic practice and worked her way up to become Practice Manager for an OB/GYN practice before starting her own consulting company. Connie has technical expertise in installing, training, and implementing practice management software, as well as developing workflow and best practice policies. After founding JD Matthews, Connie achieved her certification as a Professional Coder and holds a Certificate of Achievement from completing the Dale Carnegie Course®.  Outside of work Connie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, including three grandchildren and two grand dogs, and going to the beach.

Lynn Miller

Lynn Miller is Partner and Co-founder of JD Matthews Medical Billing Specialists.  Lynn co-founded JD Matthews with her business partner Connie Russell in 1997 and today focuses on educating physicians on the importance of accurate CPT coding, implementing strategies for process improvement, and managing day-to-day operations.  Lynn began her career in healthcare in 1981 as an Assistant Office Manager for a multi-provider Ophthalmology practice. Within a year she became the practice administrator, illustrating her 365-degree understanding of healthcare management. After founding JD Matthews, Lynn achieved her certification as a Certified Healthcare Auditor, a Certified Professional Coder, and Certified Compliance Consultant. Lynn combines her vast experience in the field and passion for data analysis to help physicians get the most out of their efforts in the rapidly changing healthcare arena. Outside of work, Lynn enjoys golfing, running, and knitting.

Jonathan Ferrell is one of the partners at New Bedford.  Jonathan began his career at New Bedford 20years ago in the billing department.  AsNew Bedford continues to grow, Jonathan’s focus is on Business development anddriving automation in the RCM process. Outside of work you can find Jonathan on a boat exploring the ChesapeakeBay with family and friends or watching his kids play lacrosse.

Jason Ferrell is the Vice President of Client Services at New Bedford. Jason began his career with the company in 2007 and worked his way up through billing management to client management and now provides oversight to New Bedford’s coding, pre-authorization, and credentialing teams. In addition, Jason frequently meets with New Bedford’s practice management clients as well as various hospital administration and other new business prospects to advise on financial opportunities and explore additional growth areas for New Bedford. Jason has spent most of his New Bedford career working in radiation oncology revenue cycle and practice management and has developed considerable radiation oncology specific financial and business operations knowledge. Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and four children on camping trips, and loves boating, swimming, and fishing at the river, lake, and beach.

Dr. Tom Cooper has founded and grown several successful healthcare businesses that predominantly serve the aging population. These companies include: Spectrum Emergency Care, a national emergency physician company; Correctional Medical Services, the largest company serving correctional facilities; MobileX USA, the largest provider of X-Ray/EKG to nursing homes; and Vericare, one of the largest providers of mental health services to patients in LTC facilities. Previously, Tom has served as Chairman of the Hangar Company, as well as on the Board of Kindred Healthcare.

Justin Ishbia is a Founding Partner of Shore Capital, a microcap private equity firm focused on partnering with companies that have between $1-10 million of EBITDA. Justin is responsible for investment sourcing and valuation, transaction structuring, the securing of acquisition financing, fundraising and all administrative activities. Justin sits on the board of directors of several Shore Capital portfolio companies.

Outside of the office, Justin is member of the Vanderbilt University Board of Trust and Rush University Medical Center Board of Trustees, and a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Justin received his Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University Law School. Justin earned a Certificate of Law and Business from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in Accounting from Michigan State University. Justin is a member of the State Bar of Illinois and a Certified Public Accountant.

Chris Mioton is a Partner at Shore Capital, a microcap private equity firm focused on partnering with companies that have between $1-10 million of EBITDA. Chris’ responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating and enabling the growth of Shore investments. Chris is actively involved in working with the management team at Great Lakes Dental Partners to identify and implement new growth initiatives and is on the Board of Directors of PartnerCare, EyeSouth Partners, Assembly Health, SENTA, and Southern Orthodontic Partners.

Chris received a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University and an M.B.A., with distinction, from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Brad Morehead is a Partner and the Head of the Business Services Fund at Shore Capital Partners, a Board Member at Assembly Health, and the former CEO of Assembly Health. Prior to Assembly, Brad held various executive positions including CEO of LiveWatch and CFO of Feldco, and has spent his career building entrepreneurial businesses into high-growth organizations. Along with serving on Assembly’s board, Brad is currently a board member of MHW, Ltd., NextGen Growth Partners, Tandem HR, and Point C. Brad has also been an adjunct professor and faculty member at the Kellogg School of Management since 2011. Outside of work, Brad enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams and spending time with his family.

Todd led the business for over 35 years and continued to lead the company following an acquisition in July 2010 by Ventas. In mid-2017, Todd stepped down from leading the division to serve as an advisor to the CEO of Ventas, a role from which he recently transitioned.

In 2005, Pat founded Elmcroft Senior Living, where he served as the President and CEO. Today, Pat serves as the Chair of Argentum, the nation’s largest senior housing trade association, as well as the Vice Chair of the University of Louisville Health, Inc.

He is the current president and CEO of egnite Health. Previously, Joel was the CEO of Intermedix where he helped divest the company’s RCM segment in a $460M sale to R1 RCM. Prior to Intermedix, Joel served as the president of Versik Health where he grew this healthcare analytics, software, and informatics subsidiary from $15M to $100M of EBITDA. Lastly, the two healthcare analytics companies that Joel founded, Enclarity and Integrity Plus Services, were acquired by LexisNexis and UnitedHealth Group, respectively.
