Our Leadership Team
Jack Fitzgibbons is the Chief Executive Officer of Assembly Health. Jack is focused on delivering top notch customer service to Assembly’s provider customers, and works closely with Assembly’s business units and executives to foster growth. Prior to his role as CEO, Jack served as Assembly’s President and COO, and had previous roles working at technology-enabled services businesses and in management consulting.
Outside the office, Jack serves on the Board of the Pickles Group, a non profit that provides free peer support and resources for kids affected by their parent or guardian’s cancer. Jack is also a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Jack enjoys spending time with his wife and four young daughters and cheering on the Duke Blue Devils basketball team.
Michael Oswalt is the Chief Technology Officer of Assembly Health and brings 20+ years of experience in healthcare technology to the role. Prior to joining Assembly, Michael was CIO for Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, one of the largest dermatology groups in the U.S. He has a background in software and database engineering and provides a keen focus on data visibility and integrations. Outside of the office, Michael is an avid tennis fan, enjoys traveling, and has made drinkable beer at least once.
Anthony Wai is the Chief Financial Officer of Assembly Health. Anthony leads the accounting and finance functions of Assembly. He brings 20 years of experience to the role, most recently as the CFO of two other healthcare organizations. Anthony is a CPA and a CFA charter holder. Outside of work, Anthony enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, cheering on the Michigan Wolverines, and discovering new Netflix series to binge-watch.
Erica Mazman is the Chief Strategy Officer of Assembly Health. She oversees revenue partnerships and Assembly’s marketing, sales operations, and analytics functions. Erica started her career in investment banking and has led finance and analytics teams at high-growth businesses. When she isn’t working, Erica enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.
Aaron Hellman is the founding partner and President of Quality Healthcare Resources. Aaron has a strong background in long-term care facilities management and his hands-on client approach is a valuable asset to communities that trust their financial needs to QHCR. Aaron's extensive business strategy and operations experience includes seven years with the CareTech Group. Outside of work, Aaron enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Scott Cubellis is the Founder of APS and son of co-founder Gildo Cubellis. Scott has a strong background in radiology revenue cycle management and is heavily focused on proactive client support. Scott's investments in technology and operational strategies have yielded consistent successful results for APS clients. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Dustin Martinson is the Founder of SYFR and holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Dustin has spent the past 15 years building modern healthcare businesses that elevate organizational performance through rapid identification and execution of best practices. His unique perspectives as a clinician and an executive lead to strategies that maximize ROI for clinics and facilities. Outside of work, Dustin and his wife Heather enjoy chasing the youth rodeo circuits with their kids and relaxing at the lake.
Samantha Akhtarzandi is the President and Co-Founder of Doctors’ Choice Medical Services. After completing her Masters, Samantha started her career in Practice Management and eventually co-founded Doctors’ Choice Medical Services. Samantha has spent the last 28 years becoming an expert in Revenue Cycle Management, providing tailored consulting services to DCMS clients, and delivering targeted business analyses to optimize financial performance. Samantha's clinician-like mindset and unique ability to construct efficient billing practices maximizes the ROI for medical practices and facilities. Outside of work, Samantha loves spending time with her family, skiing, embracing her heritage by cooking delicious Persian food, and visiting her roots in merry old England!
Ruby Das is the Vice President and Co-Founder of Doctors’ Choice Medical Services. Ruby has 20+ years of experience delivering impactful RCM solutions by focusing on timely deployments, effective support, and client ROI. Prior to founding Doctors’ Choice, Ruby founded and worked at various tech companies. His leadership experience spans Operations, Accounting, Analytics, Finance, and Information Technology. Outside of work, Ruby loves spending time with his family, following Pro-European soccer (Go Barca!), and keeping up with NASA and space travel developments. Ruby’s current hobby is building a ‘66 AC Cobra Replica roadster!
Mark Figura is the SVP of Business Acclimation and Process Improvement for Assembly Health. He brings 14+ years of healthcare process improvement and revenue cycle experience to Assembly and leads the integration of new companies. Prior to joining Assembly, Mark was an Executive Consultant partnering with healthcare organizations across the country to implement best-in-class revenue enhancement solutions. When he isn’t working, Mark loves spending time with his wife and daughter and attempting overly ambitious cooking projects.
Casey Cottam is the Head of Physician RCM Services for Assembly Health. In his role driving operational excellence across Assembly’s RCM function, Casey leads process development, implementation, and reporting. He brings over 20 years of clinical and technical healthcare experience to the role. Outside of work, Casey enjoys spending time with his wife and son, outdoor activities, and throwing pottery.
Tim Warner is the VP of Sales for Assembly Health. He drives new customer and market growth and plays a strategic role in Assembly’s channel partnerships. Tim brings 25+ years of healthcare product and service sales experience to Assembly across the continuum of ambulatory, radiology, acute, and long-term care. Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, boating, and attending Wolfpack sporting events.
Cassie Szczudlo is the VP of Talent for Assembly Health. She brings over 15 years of experience in the healthcare space spanning Human Resources, Operations, Sales, and Account Management functions. In her free time, Cassie enjoys traveling and hanging out with her friends and family.
Alex Baran is the VP of Business Development for Assembly Health. He leads mergers, acquisitions, and new partnership efforts for the organization. Alex has experience in healthcare investment banking, private equity, and most recently in a business development role at the largest and fastest growing oral surgery platform in the U.S. Outside of work, Alex enjoys exploring new cities, rooting for Notre Dame’s football team, and attempting to play golf.
Anna Bever is the Director of On-Site Clinical Services for Assembly Health. She brings 10+ years of operations experience spanning clinical services logistics, new market launches, and daily operations. In her free time, Anna likes to travel, spend time with her family and friends, and work towards her bucket list of seeing the Cubs play at every stadium with her husband.
Sarah Krug-Willis is the Director of Talent Acquisition and Staffing for Assembly Health. In her role, Sarah leads the Talent Acquisition strategy for both clinical and non-clinical positions and drives many of Assembly's Human Resources initiatives. Prior to joining the team, Sarah worked for a technical staffing organization.
Clare MacMillen is the Director of Marketing for Assembly Health. She leads Assembly's brand strategy and go-to-market strategies promoting Assembly's portfolio of services. Prior to joining Assembly, Clare led digital, event, and sales enablement marketing functions at several Chicago-based technology and service start-ups. In her free time, Clare enjoys reading, cooking, and biking around Chicago’s many neighborhoods.
Board of Directors
Dr. Tom Cooper has founded and grown several successful healthcare businesses that predominantly serve the aging population. These companies include: Spectrum Emergency Care, a national emergency physician company; Correctional Medical Services, the largest company serving correctional facilities; MobileX USA, the largest provider of X-Ray/EKG to nursing homes; and Vericare, one of the largest providers of mental health services to patients in LTC facilities. Previously, Tom has served as Chairman of the Hangar Company, as well as on the Board of Kindred Healthcare.
Justin Ishbia is a Founding Partner of Shore Capital, a microcap private equity firm focused on partnering with companies that have between $1-10 million of EBITDA. Justin is responsible for investment sourcing and valuation, transaction structuring, the securing of acquisition financing, fundraising and all administrative activities. Justin sits on the board of directors of several Shore Capital portfolio companies.
Outside of the office, Justin is member of the Vanderbilt University Board of Trust and Rush University Medical Center Board of Trustees, and a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Justin received his Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University Law School. Justin earned a Certificate of Law and Business from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in Accounting from Michigan State University. Justin is a member of the State Bar of Illinois and a Certified Public Accountant.
Chris Mioton is a Partner at Shore Capital, a microcap private equity firm focused on partnering with companies that have between $1-10 million of EBITDA. Chris’ responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating and enabling the growth of Shore investments. Chris is actively involved in working with the management team at Great Lakes Dental Partners to identify and implement new growth initiatives and is on the Board of Directors of PartnerCare, EyeSouth Partners, Assembly Health, SENTA, and Southern Orthodontic Partners.
Chris received a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University and an M.B.A., with distinction, from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Brad Morehead is a Partner and the Head of the Business Services Fund at Shore Capital Partners, a Board Member at Assembly Health, and the former CEO of Assembly Health. Prior to Assembly, Brad held various executive positions including CEO of LiveWatch and CFO of Feldco, and has spent his career building entrepreneurial businesses into high-growth organizations. Along with serving on Assembly’s board, Brad is currently a board member of MHW, Ltd., NextGen Growth Partners, Tandem HR, and Point C. Brad has also been an adjunct professor and faculty member at the Kellogg School of Management since 2011. Outside of work, Brad enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams and spending time with his family.
Todd Lillibridge founded Lillibridge Healthcare Services, a REIT focused on investing in medical offices, in 1982. Todd led the business for over 35 years and continued to lead the company following an acquisition in July 2010 by Ventas. In mid-2017, Todd stepped down from leading the division to serve as an advisor to the CEO of Ventas, a role from which he recently transitioned.
Pat Mulloy has founded and led several healthcare businesses focused on senior housing. Pat served as the President and CEO of Atria Senior Living, and subsequently was recruited by Morgan Stanley Venture Partners to lead their venture-backed senior housing company LifeTrust America. In 2005, Pat founded Elmcroft Senior Living, where he served as the President and CEO. Today, Pat serves as the Chair of Argentum, the nation’s largest senior housing trade association, as well as the Vice Chair of the University of Louisville Health, Inc.
Michael Munter is the current Chief Operating Officer at Symphony Post Acute Network, one of the largest integrated transitional care, post-acute, and senior housing networks in the Midwestern United States. Before joining Symphony, he served as the COO at CRL Senior Living Communities, a leading owner/operator of private pay assisted living and memory care centers.
Paul Shaw is the current President of HealthPro Heritage, a provider of therapy, compliance, regulatory, and reimbursement services. Prior to joining HealthPro, Paul had extensive experiences across a variety of healthcare settings, ranging from physician practice management to Chief Operating Officer of a large privately held contract therapy management company.
